Product Description
Fire Apparatus Crosslay and Equipment Covers
Crosslay nets (sometimes called crosslay hose bed nets or hose restraint nets) are used to secure the hose in a crosslay or speedlay hose bed on a fire apparatus so it doesn’t come loose while the truck is moving.
Here’s what they do and why they matter:
-
Secure the hose during transit – The net keeps preconnected attack lines from bouncing or spilling out of the hose bed while the rig drives to a call, especially over bumps or at higher speeds.
-
Allow quick deployment – The mesh or webbing design means firefighters can pull the hose right through the net without needing to unclip or remove it first, saving precious seconds.
-
Prevent tangles – By holding the load neatly in place, it reduces the risk of loops catching or twisting when pulling the line.
-
Increase safety – Prevents stray hose from striking other vehicles, pedestrians, or the apparatus crew.
Made from heavy-duty nylon webbing or mesh, anchored with quick-release buckles or hooks, and designed to withstand weather, abrasion, and hose weight.
Choice of webbing colors: red, yellow, blue, green or black with a wide variety of fasteners, velcro and loops.
